I Promise I'm Not Dead!

Hey guys! I'm sooooo sorry I haven't posted or put out a podcast....everyone was so sweet to check on me! I have just been super slowed down by this ding-dong broken leg. My laptop had to be sent off for some warranty work and the other computer is upstairs so I haven't been able to record or do anything internetty. I got my laptop back yesterday, so I will have a new episode recorded tonight before I go to bed--I PROMISE! I have lots to talk about and no notes....so it might be a doozy! I may have 43 kazillion emails in my inbox that I haven't been able to check. Yahoo and gmail are blocked websites at work so I couldn't even sneak in a check there. Oh yeah--those few days off I thought I might get for a broken leg...no such luck. Not really....I wanted to be at work. I love my job!

So I'll check in with you tonight! I've missed everyone! Love y'all!

  1. Girlfriend, what are we going to do with you? You had to go to work right away? Darn work and doctors. Doesn,t anyone know that moms always need some time off.

  2. Toni, I am another TX quilter and would love to get the chance to meet up with you at one of the "local" quilt festivals - the next one is in May in Arlington, TX (I live in the DFW area). Great Podcast (love the east TX accent - of course, I don't have one since I live in North TX - ha). I'll do my best to remember to email you so you'll be able to get in touch with me.
Hope that leg is healing well.

  5. Boy am I ever behind the times! Today I FINALLY took the time to listen to all of your podcast episodes --- wow, you are SO comfortable behind the mike! You're a natural! (And I love your accent, of course!)

By the way, it sounds like you feel about your younger son the way I feel about my son Teddy. My Teddy is the single person I can trust to be absolutely honest with me, even though he knows it might hurt. What a blessing he is, and it sounds like you're mighty blessed, too.

I'm looking forward to your next episode!

  6. FORGOT TO SAY, my husband is a corrections officer, too, third shift! Maybe you and I are twins separated at birth (although I'm QUITE a bit older than you! LOL!)

  7. I can't wait to hear from you again. You make me laugh and I like to listen while I do my sewing. I miss you and I sent an email a while ago letting you know how great I your podcast is.
